than to never have loved at all?

My experiences say no, you are better off not loving.

Not that I do a lot of either, but i thought this might make an ok thread.

(ohh and I searched too.)

Love sucks.

I say not loving at all. It always hit you for no reason.

JacobTheEdit: I don't know how to answer your poll.
#5
Hahaha I wish I never loved neither, then again it happens without you wanting to sometimes even if it is a bad situation you don't deserve.
#8
I'm gunna go with no.
In the relationship sense.

With like family members who die and such I guess it is better to have loved and lost.

EDIT: I'd rather love and not lose. I don't like to lose

wait a couple of years, you'll realise that even tragic love and sadness is better than not feeling anything.
#11
Yes, because even if the ends don't turn out quite the way you wished, the time in which you thought you were in love could be some of the best times you'll ever have.

At the same time, though, they could also be torturous moments of pain and suffering.

If by loved you mean penetrated, yes
DOWN WITH THIS SORT OF THING
and
CAREFUL NOW

I think it really depends on the situation. It's better to have experienced a functional fulfilling relationship and lose it then have not had it at all but to have a dysfunctional relationship and lose it it often ends up not having been worth it.
#18
I'd say no.

Edit: upon further inspection, I'm not entirely sure how I just answered your poll, it's one of the most confusing things I've ever read. Ever.
#19
i vote yes. its a calculated risk. u know its gonna suck once it ends. i compare it to drugs, the comedown being the breakup. just somethin u gotta handle no matter what, for every high, a low. unless u find a life partner, then u can stop searching.
#21
Hell, why stop there?

Is it better to have lived or to not have lived at all.

...modes and scales are still useless.

To love and lose is much better because you at least get to experience it.

Now go slit your throat.

Loved and lost. After your first love, you're definitely different. For me at least that's how it goes. I was the biggest a-hole you could imagine before I fell in love. Because of it I've changed for the better quite a bit.

Yeah man, the same kind of thing happened for me. It changed me a lot. I used to smoke a lot of dope/cigarettes. Quit them both.

shakespeare said it, so it must be true

although i have never experienced requited love, and therefore haven't really "lost" anyone, i genuinely believe that it is better to have loved and lost.

if you don't love, you deny your soul one of its essential rights.

alas i communicate the above to you through my arse, since i have not experienced love yet.
