so i have recently purchased my YCS50 upgrading from my spider 3. the only thing i miss about the spider 3 is the delay. So my first purchase in the way of effects for my new amp shall be a delay pedal... now as i have been using on-board delay from my godforsaken spider i know nothing about delay pedals or really any pedal at all so please inform me on the difference between analog and digital delay, what would be best for a relatively affordable price and could the h2o chorus/echo be a viable money/space saving option (saw this in my guitar center catalog and it kinda made me want my chorus back as well)

any advice/insight is much apreciated

peace sieves :]

Analog, always analog. If you can snag an Arion SAD-1 off ebay, they're great. I've got one, versatile as hell. I can get good, spanky reverb out of it or shimmery delay and even make laser gun sounds. It's a great pedal with very natural sounds.

Digital Delay is more versatile, but more... stark sounding, more... sterile, but if you want some insane delay effects, you're gonna want digital.
Fact: Bears eat beats. Bears beats Battlestar Galactica.

Analog for short delay times, warm repeats.

Digital for long delay times, lots of repeats, reverse echo, ping-pong, panning.
