Well, hello there. ;p

Hmm.. As some of you might now, Megadeth has a song called "A Tout Le Monde", right? Well, I showed a friend of mine the chorus of the song:

A tout le monde
A tout mes amie
Je vous amie
Je dois partir
These are the last words
I'll ever speak
Now set me free

She's studying(?) french at school and she directly told me that the person who wrote this song dosen't know french grammar.. >.< According to her, it's supposed to be "en tout le monde, en tout mes amie", but I don't know who to trust, srsly. ;p World famous guitarist and one of my biggest idols, Dave Mustaine or a sweet asian girl? (Of course I'm boasting about the asian girl.. Deal with it~! <.<

I don't trust any of those two until I get the answer from the Pit. ;p

Yeah.. Pretty pointless, but that's life. ;p

I think Mustain is correct here, but I also think a sweet asian girl is correct even if she's wrong.

She's an idiot ...

You have "amis" and "aime" spelt wrong though. In fact, you even seem to have the same wrong spelling for both of them. And the second "tout" should be "tous".

And if you want to be fussy, "a" should have a grave accent ("à") but on capital letters it's not essential.

In the making of the Youthanasia album video you can see Dave asking a professional translator, and I've studied French for 6 years now already too and A is definitely right. And the guy a few posts before is right the completely correct thing would be with the grave accent (À on it but since it's a capital it's not necessary.

Hum, it still needs to be there even if it's a capital letter

Actually, when a sentence begins with "A," it always need to be written "À," because "a" without the accent makes it a verb.

à = to.
a = have/has.

And I do believe this is wrong as well. When capitalized, the accent is not necessary.

It would be only a verb like so: "A-t-il des guitares?"

One could be Canadian French, one could be French French. It's probably right since en means in and a can mean at, in, or on...I think.

The rule does NOT apply to interrogative-form sentences.

and do you actually speak this language?
