Is it possible to have a volume pedal and a multi-effects pedal connected at the same time? I have the digitech bp80 and I've ordered in an Ernie ball volume pedal.

If it is indeed possible, what is connected to what?

BP80:
Input, left out, right out

EB pedal:
In, Out, Tuner

One cable from guitar to volume pedal, another from the volume to the multi-fx, then a third from the multi to the amp. Simple enough.

Do you know which inputs/outputs to connect to, though? I don't know what the difference between left out and right out is, so I don't know where to plug the cables in.

left out and right out are for the stereo-biased effects. Generally, on these types of pedals, the left out will double as a mono out (i.e. to the amp.)

Bass tones are hard to find.

Run a cable from the bass to the input of volume pedal.

Then run a cable from the left output of the volume pedal to the input of the BP80, and I assume you know what to do from there.
