s is a song I just started working on. Far from complete. But I included the chords I was playing as I picked it out. The picking would be difficult to explain, because I don’t know a lot about music theory for guitar. What I have of this song is probably the best song I have written yet. I just started writing songs in general about 2 months ago, but as you can tell I have trouble finishing songs. So here is this section of it at least and hopefully there will be more to come. Let me know what you think. The G/F# and Dsus were my best guess. What I was actually playing is shown on a tab chart below.

“Goodbye to My Dear Lady in the City”- Working title.

CAPO: 1
Moderate tempo

G--------- Cadd9----------G----------Cadd9
It’s 9 am, going down 64 again
----------------G/F#
My final destination unknown
C-------------------------------G
But for now I’m heading home

-------------Dsus
Where the Santa Fe Trail
--------------G/F#
Brought in outlaws from hell
-----------G-------------------------------C
And they shot each other cold in the night

Chorus:
----G------------------------------------D
So goodbye to my dear lady in the city
-----C--------------------------G
The west has won my heart again,
----------------G---------------------D
And you can sell all my worldly possessions
----------C------------------------------------G
Because all you need out there is a friend

------------Dsus
Now it’s “Where the Rockies Meet the Plains”
------G/F#
And the mountains they all call your name
----------G----------------------------------------C
And the friendly folks wave when you pass by

Chorus:
----G------------------------------------D
So goodbye to my dear lady in the city
-----C--------------------------G
The west has won my heart again,
----------------G---------------------D
And you can sell all my worldly possessions
----------C-----------------------------------G
Because all you need out here is a friend

Dsus G/F#
e-----3-----------------3---------
D----3-----------------3--------
G---------------------------------
D----------------------------------
A----------------------------------
E-----------------------2-------------

Some of the chords are not placed very well. They got messed up when I submitted the post. So hopefully you get the gist of it, but it may be a little off.
