I've decided that I'm too lazy to keep tuning my guitar to C, so I want to learn some more standard tuning songs. What are the best songs you can think of that are played in standard tuning?

All I have done right now are Tears in Heaven and Sweet Home Alabama.

In the vain of those songs, Cream, zeppelin, just about all 60's 70's rock bands really. Iron maiden, tallica, megadeth for some easy metal

depends on an individuals definition of "good" plus Breaking Benjamen sounds good, and they play in Drop A#, but once again that's all subjunctive to ones taste.

I downloaded a guitar pro file for it and it's boring.
Tried learning the John Mayer version but the tabs are pretty confusing/missing some stuff.

I'm gonna go ahead and dock you twelve points for citing Breaking Benjamin in an argument for good music.

You seem confused; Songs in rediculous tunings like Drop C, or Drop B, or Drop A, are just to cover up guitarist mistakes -_-

In standard tuning you can actually make out T.O.N.E which most guitarists have forgotten about. Props to Arsis for being one of the only metal bands who can pull standard tuning off so well.

But I think everyone should explore some of the more brilliant tunings that get rather bizzare and are used for crafting intelligent sounding music. Check out Ebon Coast on youtube if you've not yet.
