You think I served him well?

1. Katy Perry - Hot n Cold (just to throw him off haha!)

2. All That Remains - Chiron

3. Lamb of God - Set to Fail

4. blessthefall - To Hell and Back

5. Lamb of God - Grace

6. Cannibal Corpse - Priests of Sodom

7. Bring Me the Horizon - Fifteen Fathoms, Counting

8. Dethklok - Hatredy

9. The Haunted - 99

10. Lamb of God - Dead Seeds

11. A Static Lullaby - Rattlesnake!

12. Nile - Annihilation of the Wicked

I thought I'd just give him a large variety of heavy music. He just likes anything heavy. Is this good? Don't flame, if you don't like the band, GTFO please.
R.I.P. Ronnie James Dio. Supplied amazing music to both me and my mother.

He will be missed.

Would it not make more sense to be more gradual with the heaviness? And also remove all Lamb of God from there
The DNA results show that Jeremy Kyle is a nob.

anyway, arent you starting him out too heavy? try some In Flames, Metallica, etc
I see you're not using the UG black theme

Chances are, he's heard Master of Puppets way too many times.. Disposable Heroes would be a better pick in my opinion

way too heavy for someone who is just getting into metal
you really need to start out with some lighter stuff such as metallica or megadeth and then move on to stuff like in flames and arch enemy then maybe if this person likes all this and wants to go further then you can introduce cannibal corpse and Nile
#21
I originially got into metal listening to Arch Enemy and In Flames, they both have alot of melody running through their music which makes it a little more freindly for the new to metal listener.
Start him off on the more mellow and catchy stuff.

Burning Angel - Arch Enemy
Heart Of Darkness - Arch Enemy
Slaughter Of The Soul - At The Gates
System - In Flames
Swim - In Flames
Dead End - In Flames
Selkies, the endless obsession - Between the Buried and Me
Sound of Truth - As I Lay Dying
Darkest Nights - As I Lay Dying
Carrion - Parkway Drive
Five Months - Parkway Drive
Say Goodbye - I Killed the Prom Queen
Alot Like Vegas - Bring Me The Horizon
Imperium - Machine Head
Halo - Machine Head
Silver - Machine Head
The End - Roadrunner United
Army Of the Sun - Roadrunner United
Haunting Me Endlessly - Shadows Fall
Venomous - Shadows Fall
My Will Be Done - Unearth
Zombie Autopilot - Unearth
Failure - Unearth

I know thats not techniclly what people refer to as 'metal' these days but thats the kind of stuff I used to get a few of my mates in too metal. The bridge between rock and metal is present in all of those songs which is what will make it attractive to the unexperianced listener.

.......Is 15 Fathoms there to give him a break or something? Cos it's not metal at all. It's an instruental acoustic outro to the album...
My name is Danny. Call me that.

This.
Seriously, who the hell listens to Nile after they JUST started listening to metal? That would most likely turn them off right away.
#32
So your trying to start a friend on metal with Nile and Cannibal Corpse?

I would personally start with some mainstream thrash metal like Megadeth, Metallica, Slayer

and then some Iron Maiden and maybe some power metal like Helloween or Hammerfall

Oh and any starter metal CD needs Black Sabbath but no Iron man, that song is done to death(try Sweet Leaf or N.I.B instead)

Just my thoughts, Oh and get rid of Katy Perry whenever someone tries to be "Metal" by putting some gay pop song on a metal CD it makes me want to punch them

Terrible list, sorry. They all share a similar, harsh sound. Why not throw in some Blind Guardian or Sonata Arctica? Power metal is usually more appealing to those new to the genre.
#38
Metal?!?!?!? The majority of that is like post-modern metal/metalcore...
Could at least have flung a few different genres in like heavy, death, black, folk, progressive, speed, thrash etc
#39
No Iron Maiden?
No Black Sabbath?
No Judas Priest?
No Metallica?
No Megadeth?
No Death?
