I just went to log in and it said the password was incorrect. I had secured my account, changed the password to something NO-ONE would guess and had set the unlock code to be sent to my E-Mail address.

There was no way anyone could have guessed the password, not to mention my username was my account number, eg, random numbers. What also baffles me is that in order to change my password, the person would have to unlock my account first, which means I should have got an unlock code sent to my E-Mail, but nothing.

I'm very pissed off, as I had only had this account for a few days, and I was really enjoying the benefits of having a premium, and now it's gone. This really sucks.

Maybe it was just your browser playing up? Mine does it sometimes, you just have to close it and try again

Why would one have a rapidshare account, unless you're interested in downloading copius amounts of porn quickly?

It's very useful for DLing huge multi part files. (i.e. movies, sample libraries, certain apps)

How'd you know where to find it, though?

Rapidshare is hardly well categorised and user-friendly... I assume you find forum posts from people uploading and what not?

Rapidshare search engines are pointless, man. People name their files too inapproproately to ever find what you're looking for.

As for the few websites you mentioned... Care to share them with me via PM?

There are various forum sites I visit which allow users to upload files for public download. They're categorized; Music, Movies, E-Books, Applications, Scripts, etc. Each forum has a list of threads which contain download links. This is where I get all my stuff from.

If that plan of attack fails, there's always the whole 'Album Name' - 'Artist' "Rapidshare.com" Google search option. Using this method, I've added 7+ GB to my Dream Theater collection, all music.

EDIT: Does anyone bother to click the links in the words 'DREAM THEATER' in my sig? If more people did so, they might find one very cool site indeed...

This is why torrents are awesome.

But if you must take the low-road go to megaupload.

actually I've found that a lot of times it's quicker to use rapidshare/megaupload than to use torrents. Also it's a lot easier to find obscure stuff.
