Fight Club and The Machinst.

There are a lot of differences but the fundamental theme of the character being insomniac and having an alter ego is extremely similar. Both fantastic films though.

I was convinced that What Happens in Vegas and Just Married were going to be the same thing, but they weren't. I did however notice many similarities in Rush Hour 2 and War except one was funny and one was a mindf*ck.
Telecaster - SG - Jaguar
Princeton Reverb, Extra Reverb
P-Bass - Mustang Bass
Apogee Duet 2 - Ableton Suite

point break - the fast and the furious

Spiderman - Spiderman 2 - Spiderman 3

The Posiedon Adventure - Posiedon

Titanic - The Posiedon Adventure

Another similarity between these movies: They're both really boring.

While I watched The Machinist I was praying that the explanation to the whole thing wasnt the same as Fight Club.

Yeah, I guess they're ridiculously similar, even to the point of outright copying, if you ignore the fact that the only similarity is that the plot revolves around a magician. Don't quit your day job to be a private eye.
