Thats same old, same old - sorry its not bad....

But where are the legends? - shame it has nothing to do with Monsters Of Rock anymore and is just full of punk goth kids.

Lets hope some real greats are added to the bill or im off to some Euro-fest where all the good bands go.

Does that mean those six are headlining, or just Slipknot :S. Confusing article is confusing.

I think all 6 are headliners, assuming there'll be two main stages- the Main Stage and the second stage in the bigger tent- across three days.

3 stages over 3 days.

Not like that pissy Sonisphere with 2 stages, with a stage alternating the same area.

Prodigy are bloody huge, doing an arena tour sometime soon in the UK.

Do bear in mind nothing about who's on what stage has been announced.

Apparently Pendulum are playing too, that should actually raise the level uyp a bit

But at a largely metal festival...?

Wait. I just remembered who headlined last year .

Prodigy do have a large chunk of fans who are metalheads.

Korn? I thought they'd all left except Jonathan Davis? Kinda like GnR

I'm pretty sure that they had to refuse entry to the tent when they played last time, because so many people tried to cram inside.

If my friend can remember stuff right.

Unlike many others, I had the sense to go watch Enter Shikari so I could get right at the front for Korn.

Never in my life did I feel so violated for that hour before Korn came on.

Wow! Fair enough! I'm not really into that super-low-tuned, nu-metal-esque stuff though. And Jon's voice annoys me. I'd love to see Slipknot (bloody pissed they pulled out of Reading), Pendulum and the Prodigy though.

I've been to Download almost every year since 2004, and Korn are far and away one of the best bands I've seen there.

Woah - 2006 was terrible - not very heavy - and messed up - should have just cancelled.

Needs a few more bands to convince me to go i think, Korn are a sure bet though, they were absolutely awesome in 07.

2006 was the year I missed.

Ahahaha - as much as people hate them GNR were easily a world class band musically.

Axl of course acted up - yet people gave them a too hard of a time.

Metallica were quite boring for me.

Tool were quite superb.

Easily the best band thought were SYL - power!

I went in '07 but only on the Sunday for Iron Maiden, but looking at this years line up so far I'll pass.

Hurhur, good catch!
I only really want to see Slipknot for the atmosphere they create, I like a few of their songs but not enough for me to pay to see them on their own headlining tour.

I had a chance to witness Slipknot's atmosphere when they toured with Trivium and Coheed.

Decided that all I really wanted to see was Coheed, so I left afterwards.

1 Headliner (Slipknot)

2 Second stage headliners (Crüe & Prodigy)

That is how I see at at the minute.
