Hi.
I want to re-paint my guitar's pickguard but I'm unsure about what paint I can use, so could I use any paint or does it have to be a certain type?
It's a standard Squier Strat if that's any help and my budget is £20 but my Dad owns a car bodyshop so I could probably get my hands on most spray paints.

Thanks.
My setup:

Fender Telecaster Blacktop
Epiphone Les Paul Negative
VOX Valvetronix VT-30
Fulltone OCD
Boss FZ-5

Commercial grade spray paints don't stick well on pickplates, I've tried. Maybe that fancy auto paint will work better though.

I've painted my pickguard with just some random cheapo spray paint at a local shop. works really well.
