Tool have nowhere near the universal acclaim to put them anywhere near Led Zep status ever. They're liked by a very specific subset of metal fans and that's it.

I'm trying to think of overrated musicians who rely on black guys to write their music...

Justin Timberlake?
I play by my own rules. And I have one rule; There are no rules... but if there are, they're there to be broken. Even this one.

so much zeppelin hate.

edit: I agree The Answer do sound fairly similar, although I don't think they're as versatile as zeppelin.

Some MGMT seriously reminds me of Zeppelin. Popularity-wise, it looks like Kings of Leon might make it.

Apart from that, I can't think of anyone.

I like it, but it needs to keep with the times...

How about Plutonium AV-8B Harrier II?

Seriously though, no-one, 'cause I doubt a band like Led Zeppelin would even get signed nowadays, sadly

Also, we've already had Led Zep once, why would we want them again? It'd be boring... How about a new band (possibly in the style of Led Zep if you really wanted) instead?

Edit:

The Answer is musically very similar but I don't think any rock band will ever hit that sort of ridiculous level that Zep got to, Guns N Roses was probably the last to come close to that.
