Hi. I am getting a new amp very soon and i need some suggestions.

My band plays/is looking to play deathcore/prog/hardcore stuff (similar to born of osiris, thrust moment, veil of maya, etc. if you dont know them maybe between the buried and me, whitechapel, as i lay dying type tone), And i need a new amp.

At first i was thinking the Valveking 212 combo, but now i'm not sure which to get.

My budget is around $700.
Tube amps only, preferably combos but if heads/stacks welcome too.

Also pros/cons of the amp you suggest if possible? thanks.

Check out some used Mesas, F-Series, DC-Series, maybe some 5150's

Or wait for the 6505+ Combo, which will most likely be a beast.

randall rg50tc, it'll leave you some money to spare for a couple pedals or whatever

Used Mesa boogie F-50? It's a lot better than a valveking and they go on ebay for less than 700 all the time.

Also I am going to be recording with this amp i am getting; i need it to have a good low end and the least muddiness as possible.

The amps that have been suggested should be what you're looking for. You can look for used 5150/6505 212 combos on Craigslist and Ebay too.

Bugera could do it. The 6505+ combo does look fantastic but it's not even out yet so...

There is a combo already out, but it's a 212.

TS you could probably get a head and 212 cabinet if you wanted. Might have better low end.

if you are willing to wait the 6505+ combo would be perfect- even has a line out jack for recording so you don't have to bother with mics...

My friend bought a JSX combo for 800 used... Its geared toward soloing but its FANTASTIC for chugga chugga high gain stuff with tons of low end clarity for drop tuning etc... a boost in front of it and its even better...

Head and Cab for $130? You don't need a head and cabinet, you need a psychological examination.
