Finally found one.

Classic Mesa "V" on the graphic eq

It's a DC-5 if you can't read the blurry cell phone pictures. The chain goes Gibson Explorer Pro with Duncan '59 and Custom 5 > Korg Pitchblack > Visual Sound Route 66 > DC-5 with a EHX Memory Man with Hazarai in the loop.

I haven't had nearly enough time to fool around with it, but I'm loving it so far. It sounds heaps better than my Classic 30 for everything. I'll try to get some clips up, but it probably won't be until the weekend.

Enjoy.

Congrats on having NADs in yer mouf. Just do the right thing and swallow. (Or you may drool all over your new amp!)

I wondered why the frisbee was getting bigger, then it hit me.

maybe you're not saying the right things? an amp likes to know you care.

I like the axe more than the amp.

Sweetest part about the axe is that it didn't cost a dime.

I'll try to get clips up as soon as possible, but between playing around with the amp and my college work load I don't have much time for anything else. After the weekend I'll have 'em for sure.

Playing around with this thing I've learned a few things. It has a TON of gain, and it's all usable. It still sounds good with the gain on 10, even though it's enough gain to kill small children. I usually like a slightly scooped clean tone, but the frequency that the mid control modifies is just perfect. The clean channel doesn't sound nasal at all with the mids at a high setting. If you pull the boost however, even with the mids at 2 they are overpowering. It doesn't sound bad per se, it's great for a classic hard rock tone, but a little too middy for my tastes; still have a little fooling around to do there. The reverb sounds good but it's a little weak. I like a really wet lead tone and the 'verb doesn't really give you that, but coupled with my Memory Man it does it fine. I'm still playing around with the effects loop too...

My mom just came in and said, "Wow, that really does sound good."

Edit: I take it back about the pull boost. It's adding a little bit of mids, but it isn't overwhelming. It must have just been my setting last time or something. I have the mids at 5 right now and with it pulled it's sounding great.

Nice find. When I read you thought the verb was weak I was gonna suggest a delay pedal, but lo and behold you already have one

Head and Cab for $130? You don't need a head and cabinet, you need a psychological examination.

Congrats, man, I'm jealous.
