So I've got a Dunlop Original Crybaby right now.. I'm not happy with it. The sweep is really eh etc.

I'm looking to buy a new one pretty soon. Which of these do you recommend?

Vox V847A
Ibanez WD7
Morley Power Wah

any others in the price range that are also good? thanks.

I haven't had the chance to play the other wahs mentioned, so I cannot give a valid opinion. However, you complained that the crybaby's sweep was "eh". I suggest you don't look into the Morley Power Wah, or try out the pedal extensively beforehand as IMO the sweep was very "eh".

The sweep consists of; Bassy wah - nothing - trebly wah. So basically nothing in the middle. You might want this in a wah, myself and some others might want a wah you can sweep through the frequencies with.

Just like buying a new guitar or amp, try, try, try! before you buy. Find something that works for you.

Don't take me too seriously.

I played the Vox when I was wah shopping before Christmas.

I was impressed with it. With your budget, I'd go that way.

i own a vox now. have had small probs with it but I did buy used. Owned an old crybaby. wish I still had it. But I think the vox has less of a hihg end too it which is what I liked. The crybaby sounded like the highs were going to cut the speaker to pieces.! Its really about what you hear and like
