so my guitarist is getting really bad feedback. he's using a line6 spider2 (yeah yeah i know, but it's all we got till he get's his stack) and we're in a small room and have to crank up cuz our drummer is loud as hell. so is there an easy was to help reduce feedback?

No idea besides getting a better guitar.
My first gig was ruined due to feedback so I brought my trusty RGX-A2 and now that problems sorted

One of my bands guitarists(we have three, though we also have no bassist so that may change soon) has the same problem. What kind of guitar is yours using?

My guitarist had the same problem with his amp when I was a drummer, and he complained about me playing too loud somehow affecting his amp... Stupid, I know. I continued to play loud and proud 'cus playing quietly on a Pearl drum kit with RUDE cymbals is a no-no.

The cause of the feedback was our amps and phones being stacked into one part of the room, as well as my guitarist standing next (or on top of) his amp. Try and distance anything electrical that might interfere with your amps from the amps themselves - Other than that, there's not much I know about feedback simply 'cus I haven't encountered it since a few years ago.

i used to have terrible feedback then i bought a isp decimator and its quiet as can be. it kills all the unwanted sound but you dont loose any tone like ive heard some other cheaper pedals do. anyway, isp solved my feedback problem right away
Stay thirsty my friends...
