This MAY be a repost. Not sure so appoligies in advance

Dear Terry,

I hope you can help me. The other day, I set off for work leaving my husband in the house watching the TV. I hadn't driven more than a mile down the road when the engine conked out and the car shuddered to a halt. I walked back home to get my husband's help. When I got home I couldn't believe my eyes. He was in our bedroom with the neighbour's daughter. I am 32, my husband is 34, and the neighbour's daughter is 19. We have been married for ten years. When I confronted him, he broke down and admitted that they had been having an affair for the past six months. I told him to stop or I would leave him. He was made redundant six months ago and he says he has been feeling increasingly depressed and worthless. I love him very much, but ever since I gave him the ultimatum he has become increasingly distant. He won't go to counselling and I'm afraid I can't get through to him anymore. Can you please help?

Sincerely,

Sheila

Dear Sheila:

A car stalling after being driven a short distance can be caused by a variety of faults with the engine. Start by checking that there is no debris in the fuel line. If it is clear, check the vacuum pipes and hoses on the intake manifold and also check all grounding wires. If none of these approaches solves the problem, it could be that the fuel pump itself is faulty, causing low delivery pressure to the injectors.

I hope this helps,

Terry

I think that's why men SHOULD write advice columns; they focus on the real problem.

Surely the correct Man Response is: 'Offer to join in. Nothing can be wrong if there's two or more pairs of naked breasts in a room.'

WRONG.

The only reason it exists is because drugs get people fucked up, and people love getting fucked up.

It was Viz, iirc.

Haha that really doesn't surprise me. I remember reading a letter in there along the lines of;

'Dear Viz,
Why do old people die when they fall over?
They should follow my ways, dust yourself down, get up and carry on.

Cheers, Darren'

I lol'd.

Yea i've seen this before. The story keeps changing cause in the other one it was the wife going back home and finding the husband dressing up in her clothes. Same thing though, her care breaks down abut the advice is about the car.

I've read that before, and the response was written by a woman.
Also, the husband was doing something with animals, if I recall. Much more entertaining.

Reminds me of this mildly funny guitarists joke that goes round each month....

Dear Abby...

I think my wife is cheating on me. I am a working musician and, as you would expect, travel a lot. I have been noticing strange things happening when I get home. Her mobile phone rings and she steps outside to answer it or she says, "I'll call you back later". When I ask her who called she gets evasive.

Sometimes she goes out with friends but comes home late, getting dropped off around the corner and walking the rest of the way. I once picked up the extension while she was on the phone and she got very angry.

A buddy of mine plays guitar in a band. He told me that my wife and some guy have been to his gigs. He wanted to borrow my guitar amp. That's when I got the idea to find out for myself what was really happening. I said "sure, you can use my amp but I want to hide behind it and the gig and see if she comes into the venue and who she comes in with". He agreed.

Saturday night came and I slipped behind my Marshall JCM800 half stack to get a good view. I could feel the heat coming off the back of the amp. It was at that moment, crouching down behind the amp, that I noticed that one of the tubes was not glowing as bright as the other 3. Is this something I can fix myself or do need to take it to a technician?

Thanks,
Very Concerned.
