My drummer is somewhat built and says a good jam session or show gives him a pretty good work out. Then again, as a drummer, I'm betting he's getting more exercise out of his instrument than the average guitarist...

I sweat balls playing in my room, so I'm sure that gets rid of some calories, mostly water weight though. Try jumping around while playing, not only is it fun, but I'm sure its a psudo-workout.
#9
Well let's see I move as much as buckethead/tony iommi so not really but I work out while listening to rock music.

Why did women get multiple orgasms instead of men? I want a river of semen flowing out of my room to mark my territory.

Dude, like a guitar solo while running on a treadmill? You would get laid like 0.0000000000000000000001 seconds after starting, maybe faster.

i used to sweat my ass off jumping around while rehearing and playing with me band so i guess it counts as a decent workout. these days i play guitar while sitting in a chair .

Oh wow, I'm a class A reportfag, and you are a bit out of line. Reporting somebody for double posting? This thread has been pretty amusing so far, too.

It's a workout to drag my 100+ lbs. combo, rack, and guitar + case to another dorm for the practice room. 6 trips altogether when I'm done for the day.

Did I mention that practice room is hot as hell with no AC?

I sweat a lot while playing drums but that's about it.
