get the best ibanez rg you can afford and a decent tube amp with at least 2 channels. you can spend a little for crap and a lot when you cant deal with crap any more or you can save some money and just buy your rig once and get something good enough to satisfy yourself the first time.
edit - as far as i know the pit is not the wrong forum for anything. quit yer bitchin.
