So I just restrung my strat and now the bridge seems to be at a bit too much of an angle, but I can't remember what it was like before so I don't know if I'm imagining it or not.

About how high should the bridge lift from the body when it's just sitting without the tremelo arm on? Or at what angle?

Also, does it matter if you have the tremelo arm screwed on when you restring it?
The angle of the bridge can be a matter of preference, but I like to have it level with the body. You need to open the back plate, and put more tension on the strings. It doesn't matter whether the bar is on or not.
Factory spec is 1/8" to 3/32" from the body

Should really be level with the body...and it shouldn't make a ny difference if the trem arm is screwed in or not when you string it.
