So I got this stratocaster style pickguard a year or so ago, and I've been thinking I want to actually attatch it to a guitar lol. I can't quite seem to find a decent finish though =/ I'm obviously not going to buy a stratocaster for £100's just to put a pickguard on it, so i'll probably get a pre made body and have it painted/paint it myself and put some pickups in it etc. So I was just wondering if you guys had any idea on what would look good with a grey pearloid strat pickguard with white edges?
Here's a pic - sorry about the bad quality, camera phone is the only camera I have:

(Yes it is signed by Slash Duff and Axl, and despite the picture it is actually grey with silver writing.)

Sorry about the spacing and placing of the volume/tone knobs, I can't make them exact each time

So you think I should just stick with one colour? Hm how hard is it to do a burst style? Are there any tutorials on this site?

EDIT: Yeah sorry just read the painting refinishing thread. Looks quite complicated =/ I'll have to see what I can get hold of first and then see what I can do with it :] Thanks
