I had an idea for a frankenstrat but instead of red,it could be green. Is that a good idea?Would i follow the same steps with painting it like in other threads or would it be different?

Do you mean, EVH's frankenstrat, or a strat with a paintjob in the style of?
Cos it could look really unproffesionall if you're just playing it by ear, as much as EVH didn't plan anything, he didn't look like he was attempting to copy someone, so he pretty much could do anything! But I'd plan it a lil', like maybe get the strat body, get two types of tape (maybe masking, and the blue painters tape, so you then have three colours, the guitar, and the two tapes, make sure you don't use a tape that leaves residue) and get some ideas down, then do it.

Otherwise a green EVH copy would be legendary.

I will just do it that style and maybe add green, yellow, black, and white.
