Hey UG,

I don't know a great deal about acoustics, so I need advice.

I have had a Fender CD220SCE for about 4 years now, when I bought it I was pretty new to guitar. Now I am in the process of writing a half-acoustic/half-electric album. I was wondering if I should maybe invest in a guitar that is not laminated top. They sound so lifeless. I played an Epiphone EJ-200 and fell in love with the sound (because it is much better than the Fender), but especially the look.
Would this be a good decision to go through with, or are there better, similar looking guitars in that price range?

Thanks for all your help in advance.

hm..its a nice guitar but the ej-200ce is only 100 more and it has a cutaway. plus, its an electric acoustic!

Thanks for suggesting that. I really like it! Link

I voted before remembering what that guitar was.

Sounds good, and if you really need a cutaway, that A/E version should be just fine!
