I have a new baby. I picked this up from an elderly gentleman I've known for several years. He bought it new in 1939. I'll try to get some pics up in a couple days after I get it cleaned up. It's been lying flat under a bed for who knows how many years (he doesn't even remember when he quit playing it) but the neck is straight and other than some wear from normal playing it looks and sounds awesome.

Depending on your local, it could be dehydrated, ... you should check into it, and on Taylor guitars website under the maintenance area, they have a great video on how to re-hyrate a guitar slowly over a week. It's amazing.

The neck is in good shape and seems decent humidity wise. I won't try to rehydrate the brass body.

I certainly hope you made him aware that he had a very valuable instrument. Not doing so would be pretty low brow.
