A few weeks ago my baby sister broke one of my cables, so I took them to my grandparents to fix them ( I don't have my own soldering iron). My granddad said he would fix them over the next two weeks because he was out of solder. He tried but his hand were too shaky to do it properly so I helped, and now its suddenly cutting out most of the gain and treble, so it sounds really undefined. With high gain channels it sounds like you have the volume nob on 2-3. I know its the cable because using another cable fixes the problem. I thought that it wasn't that bad and I would use it to tame the ultra twangy sound of my cheap Strat, which sounds like a telecaster because the tone nobs are broken. But after testing it even my Strat is undefined and crappy sounding.

If there's any questions you want to ask to help 'diagnose' the problem fire away!
Otherwise any tips on fixing it?
