So I'm doing a project with a local band for some vocals and bass riffs (which is wierd becuase I'm a guitarist but whatever).

My question to UG is about writing lyrics: I have the tracks (which I didnt help write) and I want to write some kick ass lyrics for this band. When you hear a track do you think of a theme/feel for the song or do you write the lyrics seperately then adapt them to the music?

Please express your opinions. Thanks.

its totally up to you but i usually write the music and then write lyrics to suit it but you can write lyrics and then write the music to fit the lyrics aswell but its a bit harder in my opinion.
Music...Enough said.

Merci
