I'm a huge fan of surreal art, and since I didn't see any other threads devoted to this particular topic, I decided to start one. Discuss favorite artists and post your favorite pieces.

To start, I'll give you some of my favorite artist, Zdzislaw Beksinski.

There's a huge thread full of this stuff somewhere.
Did you know the odds of a Vault-Tec shelter failing are 1,763,497 to 1?

So imagine life in a Vault-Tec Vault. Not just a future.
A brighter future... underground.

Patrolling the Mojave almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter.

.
..
...
I have no opinion on this matter.

i really like the work of Storm Thorgerson (hope thats spelt right), if i remember correctly, he did the cover for Pink Floyds 'dark side of the moon' album, as well as work for bands such as 'funeral for a friend', 'yourcodenameis:milo' and 'biffy clyro'

Yeah, he's also one of my favorites. A lot of his stuff reminds me of a heavy acid trip haha

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say somebody's going to post the Biting Pear of Salamanca.

I really liked the ones in the opening post. Hella creepy, but nice. Got any more?

I opened my eyes and found my mother standing next to me with my sheets in one hand and the other hand over her eyes. She said, "Why are you naked!" and i quickly tried to come up with an answer, but all i could get out was, "Feels good man."

Yeah, I love all of his work just for that eeriness (is that a word?) it has to it.

I think surrealism is my favorite form of art. My favorites are Magritte and Dali, and here are some of my favorites of them.

^Geopoliticus Child Watching the Birth of Man, Dali

^Treachery of Images, Magritte

^The Human Condition, Magritte

Which one? And how much did that cost you?

It's some flowers/a telephone. I'm trying to find a pic of it. I don't know how much it was, it belonged to my grandfather. my sister had one that's some flowers/lips

EDIT: they're both part of a series of smallish paintings/drawings of flower/thing hybrids

^^I know. I love surrealism, and artistically I feel that I have great ideas. But for me, the problem is the thing about surrealism is that its drawn very realistically, and I'm not that good of an artist.
