i live in australia and pedals in the us are significantly cheaper. will i need to modify the us bought pedals in anyway in terms of power supply when using them here?

Well, a battery is a battery. To plug into the wall the adapter would probably have to be different.

Nope. As long as you don't use the adapter that came with it (if it even came with one) it will be fine.

gwitersnamps is right you would need a voltage converter to have it work using a power supply. But a battery is universal.

Internally they are the same they just have a different adapter for different parts of the world.

Whatever adaptor you'd use in Australia you can use in Australia with the pedal you bought in the US.
