C'mon, man. We're just kidding. We all know that drummers are important.

After all, without drummers, who would bag my groceries?

I think thats what my pickup does too. It just slides out and lays against the strings. I just put some tape on it b/c the guitar shop says that I would have to buy a new one to fix it.

is the thread ruined on the pickup part? like on the metal base? if so you could just try to rethread that. just a thought. and check the springs on them so make sure they're well, springy.

do you have springs on the mounting screws?

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.
