I prefer the rock and classical stuff but my wife is a bit of a pop princess. Does anyone have any favourites they like to play that are are somewhat 'pop'ish' in genre, yet still at least a little enjoyable to play?

One she liked was that Delilah one by the Plain Emo T's.... I've got very few ideas as my pop repertoire is very limited and whenever she tells me something she wants me to play we both end up forgetting by the time we're home.

any help would be greatly appreciated. merci buckets.
^ That's "Good Riddance" By Green Day.

Try some music from the 'Juno" soundtrack, although that's more indie.

I can't imagine anything worse than shagging to Mark Knopfler.

Maybe shagging Mark Knopfler, but that's about it.

Don't Look Back In Anger - Oasis
Issues - The Saturdays
Breakfast at Tiffany's - Deep Blue Something
Hero - Enriquie (or however you spell it)
Back For Good - Take That

All brilliant songs
Cam Sampbell's my hero
hit me baby one more time -Britney Spears

simple chord progression, sounds good on acoustic and is always good for a laugh. How can you not laugh when jamming to britney
Check out some John Mayer, almost every girl loves him, and some of the songs are a bit tricky.

^ That's "Good Riddance" By Green Day.

I'm not a real big Greenday fan, I apologise. However:

"Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)", also called "Time of Your Life (Good Riddance)" or more commonly "Time of Your Life" - Link
Jack Johnson...kinda........

I don't wanna ruin Jack for myself though.....

thanks a lot guys, much appreciated.

stuff like jason mraz, and even oasis is good stuff.

tried britney and it was a hit.... haha no pun intended.
Just sit with your guitar and listen to mainstream pop radio. Try to play along with the songs. You'll quickly realize that most pop songs are build over simple chord progressions repeated ad nauseum.
