i think both guitars are pretty ugly. for some reason i've never really been big fans of SG or firebird body styles.

out of sake of being against the norm, you should get the firebird just because more people have SG's than firebirds.

sorry if i wasn't any help.

Firebird. Satin finish, and the tuners are godly.

Firebird or if you can Explorer/flying V. For some reason the SGs are very poor quality from epiphone.
My Gear:
Epiphone Les Paul Standard
Peavey Vypyr 30
DW Collector's 3 pc drums
Mapex Black panther snare
Sabian AAX/Zildjian K cymbals.

I'd get an explorer or flying V, but i really just dont like explorers and flying Vs that much compared to the firebird.

Wait, what? G-400's are nice guitars for the money IMO, how are they poor quality?

Not true. My G-400 from '04 is absolutely flawless, in terms of playability, but the build quality does have a few minor flaws (specifically the bridge pickup cavity being slightly misaligned - not a major problem, it just means only 3 of the screws actually hold it in place), and i'm currently borrowing someone's custom which seems very well built too.

The firebird, i think, is a better guitar on paper due to the locking tuners, but don't let that be the decider - try before you buy. Play a whole load of G-400s and a whole load of firebird studios and pick whichever of those individual guitars you liked best. Each individual instrument will be different, varied in quality, sometimes you even get completely different body thickness and neck dimensions from what is supposed to be the same model.
Rig Winter 2017:

Fender Jazzmaster/Yamaha SG1000
Boss TU-3, DS-2, CS-3, EHX small stone, Danelectro delay
Laney VC30-112 with G12H30 speaker, or Session Rockette 30 for smaller gigs
Elixir Nanoweb 11-49 strings, Dunlop Jazz III XL picks
Shure SM57 mic in front of the amp

Why do you hate me, the G-400s are worse then then flying vs, firebirds, les pauls and explorers.

1. I hate you? Neat, I've always wanted a bitter enemy...
2. Explain to me how and why, because frankly I like the G-400 for the cash.
3. Please respond to the well-worded post from Blompcubey(Why does adding "Y" to things make it cute?) above yourself and myself if you reply to someone.
