Hey guys, Im making a trip up to Long & mcquade and since I cant afford a delay pedal Im either getting a phaser, mic & stand or some cables. My question to you is, brand aside (People tell me mogami, planet waves and george Ls are all quality) what should I look for in a cable?

George L's are the way to go...cut and solder your own (if you know how).
I'm putting my GAS on hold
for a couple months in order to pimp my ride.

Don't judge me.

Bit harsh I think! He comes back for the last 10 minutes against Roma, after being out all season, and you want him crippled again? You harsh wanker!

i only look at 4 things:

length

durability

shape of the jack (it must be a right angled jack otherwise my RR will ruin the cable)

cost (must be cost-efficient. it cannot cost me a bomb)

Thanks for the feedback guys. I figured length and thickness was obvious (its gotta fit the input right?? hahaha). I dont know how 2 solder very well, I didnt realize george Ls were a do it youself product. And Ive decided to wait and get a delay pedal once I get a summer job so I can afford it and wont be absolutely broke after, where as now if i got one, I couldnt buy anything else till I get a job (side note: Im lazy as ****).

If you have a bad cable you will sound bad. If your old one is not good enough I strongly suggest getting a new one above all else.

I look for it to connect my equipment and not break after the first week.

Really, I think spending beastly amounts on cables is ridiculous.

I first look at the connections at the ends. Then I look at the price tag.

I never know until I plug it into my rig.

Three big things for me are:
-low noise
-clarity
-no highend roll off

noise.
eq i guess because some cables lose less of certain frequencies, so they sound bassier, treblier, etc.
length of the cable
how movable the cable is as in it doesnt twist a lot and can just be tossed around and not get tangled and crap.

planet waves and monster is good. why do people here not like monsters. theyre expensive but theyre worth it. Theyre actually better than things most of people here use. not by much, but that's what you pay for. little better is a big sum.

I make sure there's shrinkwrap or something between the end and the actual cable (or that it's something like a Monster that doesn't have sharp edges), and I make sure it doesn't coil too much and is long enough for my needs.
Then there's this band called Slice The Cake...

Bunch of faggots putting random riffs together and calling it "progressive" deathcore.
Stupid name.
Probably picked "for teh lulz"
