what size do you have now? Again preference..

A lighter string will be easier to play but wont sound as full/good as a heavier guage.

I put light ones on my wifes because she is just learning, and they are pretty close to the same size I have on my electric!

I play Elixirs and love mine. I pay about 15 bucks a pack but they last about a month and a half or 2 months depending on how much I play. Never really tried anything else, maybe I will but I love these strings.

i play on regular, uncoated strings, last the same amount of time. elixers are the lazy person's strings for people who dont wanna take the time to clean off their strings after playing. when i tried them, i just hated the way the felt and sounded. they were way, way, way, way, way, way, WAY to bright for me. and they felt like they'd been dipped in oil.
i suggest martins or dr's
