They used to make mexican and american HH strats. The mexican ones were half-decent, but nothing too special. I've never tried the american one, but I've been told they sounded too strat-like despite the humbuckers.

I want an HH strat myself, but they're awfully hard to find. Look into G & L guitars.

C'mon, man. We're just kidding. We all know that drummers are important.

After all, without drummers, who would bag my groceries?

you don't particularly need to go to ebay as fender have only just axed it so you could possibly pick up a new end of line one dirt cheap.

Just get a Jackson. I tried out a Jackson Dinky earlier this week and it's basically a Strat with jumbo frets and two humbuckers and a Floyd Rose. Jackson is owned by Fender nowadays anyway, so is Charvel btw.
my MG15DFX has a button that simulates the sound of one of the expensive tube marshall amps

As I recall, most Strats nowadays have universal body routing like so:

You could, with relative ease, buy one, get two humbuckers, and an HH pickguard.

I saw a used MIM HH strat in a daddy's junky music in Portland, Maine this summer. It was pretty nice. I played some weezer on it (HH strat is what Rivers used to use) It was only $265. It sounded pretty good, great for the price. If the strings weren't so beat it would have sounded even better.

EDIT: and it wasn't one of those fender showmasters it was a legit HH strat

I'm pretty sure Rivers' HH Strat was a Warmoth, not a Fender.

It is. But I figured the tones would be comprible so I played Weezer.

(I later learned a few months ago that River's was maple and it didn't ship in time for the recording of the blue album and he used Ric O Casek's guitar collection during the recording and his main guitar was a 50s Les Paul Double Cut w/P-90s)

so what I was playing actually wasn't close at all.

I was gonna get it but I simply don't have the money TS could check to see if the guy'll ship it.

like someone said above, i think you can route them to fit an HH or HSH config. you just need the right wiring and pickguard.
