I was wondering how the location of the Cap effects the sound, I've seen diagrams with it between the middle of the volume and the left side of the tone pot. I've seen them on the left tone pot to ground, and middle tone pot to ground.

Is there a real difference between the three locations?

No difference. Actually you only "hear" your cap when the tone is down. Different values of caps give different tones when the tone is down.

elaborate further cus where it's located on different guitars doesnt mean much since say something like a strat is wired totally different than a lp so the cap locations vary.

different cap values will make a difference though.

I have an LP, I replaced pickups put in 500k for volume 250k for tone. Was really just sort of curious how much difference there is in where the cap is located.
