Hi, I'm having trouble doing bends on my high e string,
whenever i try to bend more than a half step, my string breaks.
My guitar is a Guerilla m7-fantom ( it has a licensed FR) and i tried
using EB super slinky's and d'addario's 9's, yet the problem is still there.

I can bend easily on other guitar and
my FR is parallel to the body.

Thanks for the help

EDIT: By the way, it is a seven string, could this make it harder to bend ?

It might be the saddles or your locking nut is a bit rough where the string contacts it. Get a fine file and just give it a short once over. You can use a pencil to put some graphite around the saddles, it will probably reduce the abrasiveness of the saddles.

Thanks for the tips, i'll try the graphite trick.
I forgot to mention, I noticed the string always breaks
around the little golden ring at the base of the string.

Yet, the string seems pretty hard to bend,
any problem with the string tension maybe ?

I'm so confused as to how he even got that guitar to play now.

There is an FR guide to string changing somewhere here. You'll need to learn how to change your strings properly.

No, the strings where changed properly,
it's just not the type of bridge where you have to cut
the balls.

This is what my bridge looks like.

yes, that is the kind of bridge where you have to cut the ball ends off.

I'm gonna guess the strings are breaking, because you aren't cutting the ball end off, and it's at too sharp of an angle at the saddle...

There is no locking system at the bridge, only at the nut.
The guitar is stringed properly, that's not the problem.
besides, I already read the thread about the FR.

yes i know. the locking is ONLY at the nut. thats why its called SINGLE locking. DOUBLE locking bridges are locked at both the nut AND the bridge. just lettin ya know!

wow, I never knew that - although in fairness it would have helped if the TS has specified it was a single locking trem as they aren't exactly common.

Like everyone else said, it's probably a sharp edge on your bridge. Failing that take it to a music shop.

Sorry for not specifying it was a single-locking, as it's my first guitar with
a floating bridge.

secondly, sorry for my english, but what do you mean by fine file,
Do it myself (how?) or bring it to a guitar shop ?

A fine file as in a small file that will be able to fit into the "V" of the nut (where the strings go through), but also one which is pretty smooth and doesn't have a large grain, otherwise you might take away more metal than is needed to make it smooth (causing a few problems).

As far as the bridge goes all you can really do is lube it up. After you have de-strung it get your average pencil and rub furiously at all the points the string contacts anything, do the same for the nut. You could also use a bit of WD-40 or similar lube on the bridge to keep things running smooth. If there are any noticeably sharp parts near where the string contacts the bridge try to file it down but there shouldn't be much.
Try the graphite thing first and keep trying different brands of strings, Elixers might do the trick.

or just get a different bridge. you can get a really nice one (double locking) here its the same one that schecter, ESP/LTD, and a few others use on thier 7-strings. and its only $80!

OR he could take a really fine file and take 5 seconds to fix the problem, and hes not out $80.

^thats plan A. but he said hes not sure what to use and how so buing a new bridge would be the easy(yet costly) way out. i like to work on and fix all my own stuff so i would file it down but some people would just like to get rid of it and get a new one. i was just suggesting him a new one as a plan B if he didnt want to file it.
