IGNORE THIS POST AND READ POST 4

Hey guys. Tomorrow, I'm gonna mod my USA Reissue Small Stone. I'll be fixing the volume drop, adding a blend knob and a vibrato switch. However, i'm having a bit of trouble understanding the blend knob mod. Here are two links for the mod, which are both different. I'll be going for the latter, as I own the reissue.

(the blend mod is where the depth mod is)

I know that this involves the 27kohm resistor, but I'm not sure whether I'm supposed to remove the resistor, or run the wires from it's legs. Could anyone explain it for me? Also, the vibrato mod is on the same link, could anyone explain that too? Thanks in advance.

CX : mettez nimporte quelle valeurs , faite des essais
>>> Try some values , do some tests

Hope that will help

Alright, ignore the first post guys.

I just found this:

For the depth knob I replaced the “wet” 27K resistor with a 22K resistor followed by a linear 100K pot. You can find the 27K at the mix node where the wet signal meets up with the dry signal (30K usually) at the .1uf cap at the output.

Could anyone explain to me what it means when he says that the 22k resistor is followed by a linear 100k pot?

Cheers for any help.

i could imagine it means like this:

solder pad - resistor (22k) - pot - solder pad

- = WIRE/Solder

Whodicted

Ah, so I'd have to wire the resistor and pot in series?

EDIT: I get it now, seeing as I'm not changing the resistor value, I've gotta desolder/snip off the resistor at one side, then run a wire from the removed leg to lug 3 of the pot, then solder a wire from the soldered leg of the resistor to lug 1. Also, I have to solder a wire to the empty hole from where I snipped the resistor to lug 2.

But which side of the resistor do I snip?

it shouldnt matter which side of the resistor you snip. i mean the two components are just going to be in series, so order shouldnt matter. well, since they are resistors it doesnt matter. its basicly just like breaking the resistor into parts.

Forgive me it was 3:46 when I posted that over here.
I wasn't thinking straight, I'm not right now either really.
I was just searching for modifications and found this thread.
