Hey UG,

I have fallen in love with, "When two Are One" off of Atreyu's Lead Sails Paper Anchor album. It has some quite epic chord progressions and catchy melodies, but I need to find something that will sound kind of like it. Is there any other band out there that has made a song that sounds like it? The closest I've come is Bring Me The Horizon's "Chelsea Smile" off of their new cd Suicide Season, but only parts of the song have the same feeling to it. Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks in advance =]

Try some In Flames. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E6AvFgS-tP8&feature=related

and the feeling you're talking about is (I believe) melodic minor mixed with some blues major notes.

Not the biggest fan of Atreyu and haven't heard the song in question, but as for bands that sound similar....Bleeding Through, As I Lay Dying, Eighteen Visions, All That Remains.
Listen to Kill To Believe by Bleeding Through anyway....****ing awesome and brutal song

R.I.P. Shaun Hand from Metal Sucks. He leaked this album and now Jake Bannon is going to crush his skull

I already listen to In Flames, and Drenched In Fear is one of my favorite songs by them, it doesn't quite do it for me like When Two Are One. Thanks though =]

And Converge is a band I will have to check out. I've never listened to then but I've heared of them. Any others?

I just bought the Rusty LP off ebay and my label is gonna be putting out Burn Out on vinyl as the second release (if all goes well, but I've already talked to Tooth & Nail about it I'm just waiting on this first release to get done.)

95% of the bands listed are absolutely incredible. You'd be doing yourself a disservice if you didn't go listen to every single one of them.
