My grampa gave me a Squier Standard Strat, and I want to swap the stock pickups.
It's an SSS, with an agathis body and a maple fretboard, and I want to make it a diverse guitar; one that'll handle anything from cleans to garage rock to metal. So far what I have in mind is:

Neck: Lace Hot Gold
Middle: Lace Hot Gold or SD Vintage Rail
Bridge: Lace Hot Gold or SD Hot Rail or SD JB Jr.

I want your advice. Does this sound like a good setup? If not, why? Make a suggestion. I don't want to go over $300. Thanks in advance.
