You have to be restricted to see a film?
Her friends are gazing on her,
And on her gaudy bier,
And weep!-oh! to dishonor
Dead beauty with a tear!
They loved her for her wealth-
And they hated her for her pride-
But she grew in feeble health,
And they love her-that she died.

Just have your mom go in with you, and then walk out as the movie starts. They usually don't check if every underage person there has a guardian with em. And no I don't think the consent thing works, it's a matter of legality.

Why don't you call up the place and ask them on the phone?

Your parent must be there to buy the ticket. Sometimes at the theater there will be guards that will look around and check anyone underage, then of which she has to watch the movie with you.

I tried to see jay and silent bob strike back once when i was underage, I had to bring my dad in with me. We didn't stay long.

If you want to see it at a theatre, just buy a ticket for a different movie, then walk into a different screening room, if you want to rent it, just download instead... I don't care if it's illegal!

its 18A movies that are all like NO MINORS, NOT EVEN WITH A GUARDIAN OR PARENT OVER THE AGE OF 18.

I don't I've ever seen an r-rated movie in the cinema before, it takes A LOT for a movie to be r-rated in Quebec, we're all too damn liberal.

My theatre is not big, so let's say I buy a ticket to He's Just Not That Into You and then I get popcorn and all dat crap and then i'll act like i'm getting a refill after the movie starts then we walk back in and go to Friday the 13th, could dat work, only problem is dat the theatre is right in front of the ppl scratching the ticket.

That's really good to hear that somewhere is.

Remember that guy Blagojevich that's been making all the news recently? He cracked down on a lot of "issues" with kids buying M games underage. So much so that a friend of mine wasn't allowed to buy an M game even though his birthday was the next day. I think that's just stupid.

Edit: ^^ It would just be a risk. Try not to stay in groups and be loud, go out to get everything individually so that you can say your parent is inside if they question you. Also, don't think too much of it. Act normally and all should be fine.

If you're talking about going to a theater and watching a movie but you can't personally buy a ticket to an R rated film, then just buy tickets to a different movie and then go see what you really want to see.

Where do you live? Because it varies from country to country (perhaps state/county as well)

EG: In America, you can get in with a parent, in Australia, you can't get in if you're under 18

TS, the rule is anyone under 17 has to be accompanied by a parent/guardian or an adult. You just need someone over 18 to buy you a ticket. This could be an older friend, or your parents. Once you have the ticket, you're good to go. They're not going to check IDs inside the theater. Have your parents go and buy you a ticket, then they can leave if they want. This isn't rocket surgery.

No. He tried to crack down on stores selling M rated games to underage kids but the Illinois Supreme Court found the law unconstitutional. Your friend not being able to buy a game was the result of Walmart or whatever the store was self policing itself; something that all of the major stores were doing before Blagojevich started legislation about it.

You're right. It's not rocket surgery, so I'd think you'd be able to get it right.

Your parent goes in with you. Hence the word "accompany." Yes, they do check IDs inside the theater. That's only their entire job.

I work at amc and they hold up the policy that at 17 you can only buy your own ticket. You have to be 21 or older to buy tickets for minors and you have to enter the theater with them.

Even if you manage to buy the ticket, a lot of the time they'll card you at ticket drop too.

Most of the time we uphold the policy because of our uptight manager. He tends to check if we don't which gets us in trouble for not checking.

it all depends on what theater you're going to.

I work at a movie theater and if you have an adult there with you, all he or she needs to do is sign a form that you have consent and you're good.

however, some movie theaters are much more serious about that sort of thing.
it just all depends where you go and who you talk to.

...You're still disappointing them...

I've heard that if you have a credit/debit card you can just buy from the machines there and you're good to go. I don't think they check outside of the single theater, though they may just to make sure you have a ticket for that movie. They won't stop you if you do, I think.
#31
At the movie theater near me, you just have to have your parent or guardian sign the ticket or walk in and buy the ticket with you.
#32
No. If you have common sense you'll know that it says "Under 17 requires accompanying parent or adult guardian." Use your brain, and use the grammar that your teachers taught you in fourth grade. This isn't a 12 year old girls chat room.
