i was wondering what y'all thought of a couple of my riffs, they're not very good. i've only been playing since april, so bear with me.

e- -11 - - - - - - - - - -11 - - - - - -- - -11 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - -11*
B- - -13 - - 13- -13 - -13 - 13- - 13- -13- - - - - -13 - - - - - - - 13- - - - - -13-
G- - - - -12 - - 12- - - - - 12-- 12- - - - - 12-- -12 - 12 -12- -12 - -12 - 12-
D- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -11 - - - - 11--11 - - - - -11- - - - -
A- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
E- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

it just restarts at the 11*, it's just a really simple arpeggio. i got the idea from the intro to today by smashing pumpkins, i was just dicking with it one day, then that was the result.

another riff i got from fu**in around with another riff is one i got from crazy train.

D- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
A- - - - - 4- - 5b- - - -4 - - - - - - - - 4- -5b - - - -4 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
E- -2 -2 - -2 - - - 2-2- -2- 5b- 2-2 - - 2- - -2 -2 - -2- 5-5-4-5-4 - - -

the last bit i just kinda flip my ring and middle finger back and forth, that's how i came up with it.

Hey man, It's not a bad place to start! Some of the first riffs I ever made I still use when I rock out. Just keep at it!

thanks, should i post a couple others? i got some more metalish riffs, i don't know, i'm not that good yet, still trying to learn cemetery gates fully, so none of my stuff is exactly pro material. but i do love that top riff, if fun to play acoustic or electric.
