Is making a mutron possible? I don't get quite what it is. It sounds like an envelope filter, but there seems to be more to it than that. How do I go about building one of these and is it possible? I am pretty good with tools, but I don't really know much about building a pedal.

I'm also willing to settle for making an envelope filter if thats possible.

it's definitely possible but since you admittedly say you don't really know much about building a pedal i'd recommend maybe starting with something a bit easier as a first attempt. check the ultimate pedal building thread and you'll fall into a sea full of information.

I'm completely willing to do some research. I just need to know what materials i need and wiring specs. There isn't really another pedal I want to make. Where can I find information and parts for making a mutron?

have you tried google? i spent 2 seconds on it and found these 2 schematics.

reading the schematics will tell you what materials you need (resistors, capacitors, etc) and their values.

or you can try searching to see if byoc has a mutron kit (i dont know if they do or dont)

Those diagrams mean nothing to me. Where can I learn how to decifer this? I am seriously considering a career in electronics, so this would be great to know.

How complicated is a project like this? I'm just wondering what degree of skill a project like this involves.
