Anyone know how to fix a dead fret without bringin' it into a shop or anything? I got a dead fret on my fender, but its only on the A string and doesnt seem to affect anyother strings. All it does is buzz when i pick it and it's annoying the hell out of me. Any feedback's great.
the torque bar in the neck might help. unscrew the plastic thing underneath your strings on the head and use an allen wrench. but you should read up on doing that yourself because if you don't know what you're doing you could really mess up your guitar.
dont touch the truss rod. just raise the action on your A string. i assume you can adjust individual string actions on your bridge
anything for removing fret buzz etc. is all in this thread (it's actually point 1)
Well you can raise saddle of that string until it dissapears. However if the next fret is really too high you are only hiding the problem not fixing it because the next fret would need leveling.
