Probably, If you are a Zakk Wydle Fan, pesnaolly what is the diffrence between his Epiphone Les Laul and the Epiphone ZV (apart from the shape)?
#3
maybe. id try it first. i have an Epiphone SG that i love and have been using even for recording. but i also have an epiphone futura i dont like because of the body. try it befor you buy.

IMO I think the only ZV that actually looks nice is the worn bullseye Zakk has. All others look like **** if I may say.

im assuming the ZV is HZs?

Edit: my bad i thought you meant zakks sig les pauls, that thing is hideous, my opinion.

looks all epi stock, so no i stand by the idea that you can get a MUCH nice LTD.

How come Dean managed to sue Ibanez for its V shape, and they're ok with this?
#7
because zakk wylde owns the shape

dean doesn't

no its because the ZV is primarily mean to be a mix of the SG double-cutaway and the V

and the Dean is probably copied from the ZV

plus, gibson pioneered alot of the crazy designed these days; explorer, V, etc.
after gibson successfully sued jackson for use of the V in the RR models, no one really bothers sueing gibson/epiphone anymore.

itds because the Splittail is different in dimensions

ZAKK wylde does no own the shape....why do people think that all the time

the Splittail has a marginally longer top horn and the V is more prominent is why gibbo couldnt sue Dean but they did try

Zakk doesn't own the shape. Gibson does. Gibson made one back in the early 70's before Dean guitars even exsisted. Gibson allows Dean to make guitars with some of it's body shapes. Examples are V's, Explorers (Dean calls them Z's) and now the ZV or Splittail as Dean calls it.

Since the design is form an old gibson and nothing new.
