These guys are awesome, although i took 'The Sword' out for your own benefit. Try indie, that's where i went after metal, The Tragically Hip, Pumpkins(of the Smashing variety), Joel Plaskett...maybe post-rock too; Mogwai, Explosions, GY!BE, Slint or Tortoise...Mono? I dunno i hope those are some ideas for bands...even though you asked for songs...awwwwwww i failed
