I notice the peavey vyper range has a usb out for recording now.

Any other amps doing this?

About time they did.

Its a pain having so many interfaces when all I want is an amp I can record directly from.

Whats the sound quality like, say in comparison to a line 6 pod? (recording quality)

i think the Vypyrs are the only ones with recording out.........

Vypyrs, but I heard it cuts sometimes, so you'll be better recording with the Aux out.

the vetta doesnt have USB, just midi, which can be plugged into an interface and used as USB pretty much.

Head and Cab for $130? You don't need a head and cabinet, you need a psychological examination.

if your like me and your lappy on board sound card has a lot of interferance, line in isnt an option. and usb interfaces are too expensive here (cheapest is $150).

so my options are

vyper or get a cheaper amp (roland 30) and buy a cheap used condensor mic.

i only want to record for critique myself and for home videos.

possibly some video cams have condensor mics that are of quality enough for my purposes? i want to buy a vid cam soon anyways.

(apologies for my grammar haha)

it does believe me. have tested it before.

mic recording no issues. direct link im from amplification, major issues with noise (its not even worth recording).

It doesn't sound that great honestly. It sounds much better to mic it. ESPECIALLY if you get the tube version of the vypyr. 100 bucks gets you an sm57 which is the go to guitar mic.
