I haven't seen a thread about her yet

I personally really like her. She's got some very 80's influenced synth for a new artist. Just Dance, Papprazzi, and All I Can Say are definitly my fav tracks. Thoughts on her?
#2
I'm still undecided on her. Have listened to the album a few times and it has some good stuff on it but it also has tracks that make me cringe a little.

She has great fashion sense though
#6
She has a couple of decent tunes but I cannot help but think she will be a one or two hit wonder, then find herself relegated to the dance music / club scene artist like Anastasia or something.
#8
She's got some decent sounds happening

Although I found Pokerface to be one of the most annoying songs I've ever heard

BTW does anyone know wtf cherry cherry boom boom means?

Maybe she likes it backdoor style. Cherry cherry (her, uhm...backdoor); boom boom pretty much speaks for itself.

I can see her being around for a while. If you watch interviews with her, she definitely knows her stuff about music (being classically trained and whatnot). Also the fact that she was a songwriter for Aquarius Records (I believe) before going solo. I can definitely see her writing quality pop songs for some time.

Hell yeah. I downloaded the album (because I wouldn't be caught dead buying it in my local store ) and I like it.

i don't see her producing hits on a regular basis.

I just read her wiki page and apparently she's been writing hits for a while now. Just other people's hits.

>_>

from what I've seen she's not too bad live.. very active. if that is her actually singing live. which I hope it is.

I've only heard Pokerface and Just Dance much. Heard Paparazzi once.

The first two are catchy, not bad, I enjoy listening to it now and then. Wouldn't even mind singing along.

From what I've seen of her live though, she's absolutely abysmal.

If this is true then her music should be around for a while as she's got some talent for writing good pop songs.

I don't know how long she'll be around as an artist, though since she seems quite annoying and I think people might get bored of her quite quickly.

How do you annoy Lady GaGa?

Pokerface.

The interview was terrible as well, she was tedious.

She was so naff singing live on Jonathan Woss. It was painfully funny.

Yeah, she was horrible.

I don't want to be harsh, but she doesn't seem good-looking or talented enough to be an international celebrity.

Until that interview my girlfriend really liked her, noew she's completely gone off her. I still think the songs are catchy (Just Dance and Pkerface anyway).

I've seen 4 or 5 live performances, all of which were terrible. Maybe she's good every now and then though.

I thought she was good on Wossy. And her album is pretty freaking good too imo!

You'd think i'd be ashamed but no

I've only really heard the two singles, but they seem a bit formulaic.... same drums, same distorted synths sound.... and that's fair enough, but they even both use that same guitar "twang" sound when going into verses/choruses...

It was god awful.

Songs are quite catchy. I can't see her lasting.

Horrifically overplayed, but i do love 'just dance'.

The line 'where are my keys, ive lost my phone' always makes me chuckle too
