Well, I've decided to build a head enclosure to convert my Mesa/Boogie DC-5 112 combo into a head. I'm going to use the combo for measurements.

So far, the specs are looking at:

1/2 or 3/8" birch plywood (pending as of yet)
black tolex covering (to match the combo)
black cloth grill (to match the combo)

Basically, it's going to look like a Mesa head.

Does anyone have any tips to offer, or past experiences?

Personally, I'd make it natural wood...but that's just me.
My only advice is be really careful with the tolex. It's hard to make it look good sometimes.
