Hey UG,

I bought the Digitech Black 13 Scott Ian Signature pedal, and it works great for dialing in tones and stuff, however it always has bussing and feedback issues. I know it's not my guitar because it's brand new and top of the line, and not only that but when I play with the built-in distortion on my amp there isn't all the extra noise. Any help?
My gear:

Dean Dimebag Dixie Rebel Razorback
Ibanez RG220B
Laney HCM60R Amp
Digitech Black 13 Scott Ian Sig Pedal

On my amp it's on the clean channel.

I really can't help you. Some pedals are just more noisy than others. Look into a noise gate if it really bothers you.

It's a cheap metal pedal, it's bound to be noisy. what's the gain set at?
I don't give a shit if you listen to me or not

I have the same pedal, and i get the same fuzz. Although my amp isn't the best, I agree that it is the pedal. The distortion is just a bit much to keep it clean through an amp.
