i just kinda wanted to show off the mods to my F-250, its nothing to fancy but im proud.

first off, i replaced the stock p-ups with a set of duncan blackouts, i used a blackouts metal in the bridge and wired the 10(or is it 20)db boost to a on/off switch.

here are a few pictures, albeit blurry ones, of the (dirty) guitar after the mods

i also routed the trem cavity deaper to alow me more room for pull-ups, when i did this, i had alot of extra space, so i decided to wire up LEDs under the floyd. i wired the LEDs to the boost switch, so when the boost is on, the lights are on

pics of the LEDs

so what do you guys think?

Yeah, but it's supposed to look funny. You don't want your guitar looking funny. Unless it's a squier, then you don't have a choice.

Woah, that thing with the LEDs is pretty friggin' sweet

Then inlays on that are awesome too

plexiglass pickup rings with leds inside and have the leds respond to the tone knob (i.e. they dim when you turn the tone down, brighten when you turn it up) and have the pickup selector switch between the leds also. probably looking at some dual-gang pots to pull it off i figure.

as a rule i dont like leds on guitars because i dont think they serve a purpose or do anything interesting enough. if they did something like what i've suggested above i'd be impressed for sure

thats alot of wiring lol, but it could be done, maybe ill do that on my alexi so i can custom rout everything the way i want it for the lights

Due to the pink strings you sir are a pile of win.
"Buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo."

The combination of pink strings and LED's turn that metal-ish guitar, in my eyes, from to pure win.

As usual Natrone's mouth spouts general win.

i used to be a mod, then i took an arrow in the knee.

they sound amazing, unfortunatly i only got to use them for about a week before my amp's preamp section gave out...but i have a pod x3 live in the mail to me today to get me by for the month till my amp is fixed. but i love the SD's they sound so much better then the 81/85 sets i've used, and the db boost is sweet too

Aside from this. Srsly dude, I would say that even Ormsby would be jealous of this idea !

yeah those strings are definitely sweet. I love the body on the F series too, really cool guitar to mod. nice job man
#23
I'm not a fan of LTD's and ESP's "progressive" lines, but... I'll be damned if that thing doesn't look badass. Even though it's "pink," it still looks like it could kick my ass. Nice mods, man. And I'll bet those Duncan Black Outs sound AMAZING in that thing.

LTD + Blackouts = Win
Pink strings and LEDs= More Win
